Significance of the Dhams:
Badrinath:
- The temple’s main gate, Singhdwar, is colorful and imposing. The temple is about 50 feet tall and divided into three parts: Garbha Griha (sanctum sanctorum), Darshan Mandap (ritual area), and Sabha Mandap (assembly area).
- Inside, you’ll find a one-meter-high statue of Lord Badarinath, intricately carved in black stone.
Kedarnath:
- The Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the most significant shrines in Chamoli district. Built in the 8th century, the temple stands amidst majestic snow-capped peaks and is known for its ancient and exquisite architecture.
